30-Day Returns, No Hassle
At HomeLumio, we want you to feel confident in your purchase. If your lamp is not quite right, we offer a simple and transparent returns process.
This policy applies to all orders placed within Canada. We sell and ship exclusively to Canadian customers, and all returns are processed within Canada.
Return Eligibility
Returns must be initiated within 30 days of delivery. The 30-day return period begins on the date your order is delivered.
To be eligible for a return:
- The item must be unused
- It must be in its original condition
- All original packaging, accessories, and components must be included
Unless otherwise stated, all items are eligible for return. At this time, there are no non-returnable products.
Return Reasons and Shipping Responsibility
Returns are handled based on the reason for the return:
Damaged, defective, or incorrect items
If your order arrives damaged, defective, or different from what you ordered, we will cover the return shipping cost. A prepaid return shipping label will be provided.
Change of mind or incorrect order
If you decide you no longer want the item or selected the wrong product, you may still return it within the return window. In these cases, return shipping costs are the customer’s responsibility. The item remains your responsibility until it is received by us, unless the return is due to damage, defect, or an error on our part.
Return Authorization
All returns require approval before being sent back.
Once we receive your return request, we review it to confirm eligibility. Return approval and instructions are typically provided within 1 to 2 business days. Items returned without authorization may not be accepted.
How to Initiate a Return
Contact us
Email support@homelumio.com with your order number and reason for the return.
Repackage the item
Securely pack the lamp in its original packaging, including all accessories, manuals, and inserts.
Ship the return
We will email detailed return instructions.
- For damaged, defective, or incorrect items, a prepaid return label will be provided.
- For change of mind returns, customers are responsible for arranging and paying for return shipping using a carrier of their choice.
Return Shipping Methods
- Prepaid return labels (approved defective or incorrect items) are shipped using Canada Post or an equivalent carrier.
- Customer-paid returns may be shipped using any reliable carrier. We strongly recommend choosing a service with tracking.
After We Receive Your Return
Inspection
All returned items are inspected upon arrival to ensure they meet return eligibility requirements.
Refund Processing
Once approved, refunds are issued to the original payment method within 1 business day of receiving the return. Please allow up to 7 business days for your bank or payment provider to complete the refund. Refunds are issued to the original payment method unless store credit is requested.
Restocking Fees
A 20% restocking fee will be applied to returns made for change of mind returns. There will be no restocking fee for faulty or incorrect items purchased.
Additional Costs
There are no additional return fees beyond return shipping costs for change of mind returns.
Exchanges
If you would like to exchange your item for a different model, size, or colour, please contact us and we will be happy to assist. Exchanges are available for both defective and non-defective items.
Exchange timeline
Exchange requests are reviewed within one business day. After approval, return instructions are provided within the following business day. Once the original item is returned and inspected, the replacement item is shipped within two business days. If the replacement item is unavailable, we will contact you to offer an alternative or issue a refund.
Important Shipping Note
For returns valued over $75, we recommend using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We are not responsible for returns lost in transit without tracking.
